Ongoing legal counsel for businesses and organizations on a monthly retainer basis.
What this area covers
A retainer is a continuing arrangement under which a business or organization has access to legal counsel for its routine matters. Our work covers ongoing advisory support, the regular review of contracts and policies, and the day-to-day legal questions that arise as an organization operates.
The arrangement suits organizations that prefer steady access to counsel who is already familiar with their operations.

How the engagement works
A retainer is set out in a written agreement that defines the scope of the routine matters it covers and the support included. Because counsel works with the organization over time, context carries from one matter to the next rather than being explained anew each time.
Work that falls outside the agreed scope — for example, representation in a court case — is handled as a separate engagement. The scope and terms are set out in the retainer agreement at the start.
